Amr Zaki interest is increasing despite his inability to score in the last couple of matches and after missing the Newcastle game due to injury.

The player received interested from Liverpool and Manchester City but reports claimed that City want to sign the player in the January transfer window, a thing that Wigan might not accept as they want to keep the player untill summer. Such dilemma could end up with City switching interest to Valencia star David Villa.

In this case, Valencia will have to find a replacement and according to Football Latest, Zaki is one of the players that they see as the right replacement for Villa.

In addition to this, Spanish giants Real Madrid started shortlisting players as a possible replacement for Ruud Van Nestelrooy who suffered a long term injury. Reports suggested that the Spanish giants have Zaki on their shortlist as well with a few other names including Benzema, Vagnor Love and Adebayor.

It should be noted that Zaki can leave Wigan in Winter if the club paid £3 million pounds to Wigan plus Zamalek's asking price for the player. The player's price tag is thought to be around £10 million.
